PSHE stands for Personal, Social, Health and Economic education. ACE has always seen the value of providing a comprehensive education in PSHE in supporting young people and providing them with the skills and knowledge to help them make informed decisions and choices in their lives, now and in the future. All students at ACE are timetabled PSHE

lessons and staff aim to give students teaching and guidance in all areas prescribed in the government’s new curriculum: Health and Wellbeing, Living in the Wider World and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE). ACE wants to ensure all young people are given the information and skills to help them look after themselves, make reasoned decisions, minimise risk in their lives and prepare them for their future.

In addition, ACE provides the opportunity for students to complete portfolio qualifications in PSHE that can support college applications as well as demonstrate their achievements to themselves and others: each year all Year 11 students complete examined courses in the subject.
