ACE Summer School, 2015

Over the summer, ACE students took part in some exciting and fulfilling activities. One of those activities was to visit Adrenalin Quarry, near Liskeard.

At the quarry, students got to go coasteering which involved jumping off rocks into the water and climbing into caves. They also got to go on The Blob, a giant inflatable where one person jumps on one end, and you go flying off into the water at the other end!

Year 11 Leaver’s Assembly, 26th June 2015

On Friday 26th June, ACE Bretonside held a celebration and successes afternoon for the Year 11 leavers, class of 2015.

We kicked off the afternoon with an address from the Head in which she struggled to hold back the tears as she commended the students on their personal growth and their achievements over the course of their time at ACE. Something I know that all staff at ACE will uphold.

This was followed by the Headteacher’s award (awardee Brandon Stacey),  Mr. Ward’s endeavour award (Jay Johnson), Mr. Rigby award (Connor Byrne) and Mr. Wilkinson’s vocational ward (Carlton Leeper).

After this, there was a presentation of photos and videos reminding everyone of the experiences and memories of their time at ACE. A selection of the photos are shown below. There were also photos and examples of good work from the students up around the room.

The presentations and awards were rounded up and we had a cakes and nibbles buffet with chance to catch up and mingle with parents and students. A lovely end to a lovely afternoon.
